William Lebron Houlk Sr.

William Lebron Houlk, Sr., 78, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Aline Houlk; son, William L. Houlk, Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Maureen Kendrick, Melissa (Steve) Gayton and Melanie Swain; son, William “Shorty” Houlk; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Cecil) Williams and Marlene (Robert) Patterson.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

The family and friends will meet at Ooltewah Cemetery on Saturday, April 12, at 1 pm for a graveside service for Mr. Houlk with Reverend Sterling Jetton officiating.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.

Bill I miss u every day u were my rock when I needed advice u were there the talks the walks I miss u every minute of my day, u were always tough aka "Bronco" u told me wuz ur childhood name as a young boy aka " cotton" u were tough as nails aka bronco and ur caring soft as aka cotton u always said" Itz a feeling" were just some of ur quotes u said i miss the calls on the phone u being there u were the most important person to step into my life those were the best 6 yrs of my life i have memories of how u lived ur spirit who u were the talks were shared during those years when u were in the service when u had bill jr Maureen Melissa Melanie the passion u had telling your life sometimes i feel like i cant make it but i now i have to i remember ur life and how u live with fight, caring, wisdom full life your sense of humor your drive that's how i remember i no your there your by my side all u always said Tracie! that's whats keeps me going how u lived that's my memores i luv u my Bill!
