Verna was born April 16, 1935 in Wright County, Missouri to Walter and Alma Curtner Shelley and they preceded her in death.

She was a member of Harvest Time Ministries in Holts Summit and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She is survived by sons, Ben (Valerie) McKee and Roger McKee all of Holts Summit; brothers, Lee (Mary) Shelley and Dennis Shelley all of Cabool, Missouri, five sisters, Billie Miller of Raymondville, Missouri, Patsy Martin of Aurora, Missouri, Mickey Chronister of Cabool, Missouri, Barbara Reeves, Marietta Oklahoma, Lorene Crewse of Graft, Missouri, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by sons, Elmer and Raymond McKee; daughter, Vickie Strong; brothers,

Ronnie, Tommy, Melvin, and Charles Shelley and four sisters Norma Tackett, Betty Jarrett, Myrtle Neal and Faye Shelley.
