Agatha A Castecka

October 31, 1921June 29, 2020

Agatha A Castecka, age 98 passed away on Monday June 29, 2020. Agatha was born October 31, 1921 in Hallettsville, Texas. Agatha is survived by; son Norbert Castecka; daughter Karen Morales; and son John Edward Castecka. Agatha was preceded in death by her husband John Frank Castecka; daughter Marjorie Daley. Agatha and her husband John moved to Houston from Halletsville in the early 1950’s. They were the some of the first ones from the family to move to the city from the original country home in Halletsville. Agatha was a long time member of All Saints Catholic Church in the Heights area. She helped several of the ladies in the family learn how navigate the city and help them when they became new brides and new moms. Agatha was a homemaker for many years and also worked at TEXAS Children’s Hospital when her own kids were older. A visitation for Agatha will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

I remember all the long talks that we had in the living room. You’d sit on the couch and talk with us kids and Dad for what seemed an eternity. You’d tell stories of Dad growing up and how much trouble he’d get into. Love you so very much.
