Albert Stanford, Sr., 68, of Houston, Texas, passed away March 10, 2018. He was born in Gloster, Louisiana on May 17, 1949. Albert graduated from Second Ward High School. He acknowledged and accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1968. He met and married Mary Small and to their union two children were born.
Albert worked as a welder for Cameron Iron works for 26 years. Albert had many hobbies he loved playing dominoes, cards, and had a love for raising and training dogs. Albert will be missed by all who knew him.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Alton Stanford, Sr. and Earnest Lee.
Albert is survived by his children, Albert Stanford, Jr. and wife Vanessa, Tekera Stanford-Odom and husband Ivan, Sr. grandchildren, Kameron and Ivan II, siblings, Alton, Jr. and wife Brenda, Patsia Moore and husband Valentine, Florida Fields and husband Jesse, Amanda Adger and husband Robert, Linda Hicks, Johnnie Stanford Bailey and husband Dennis, Johnny Ray Stanford, Joe Stanford and Jewel Lean Stanford.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Brookside Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. The internment will take place at Brookside Memorial Park.

The family will share in fellowship immediately following the interment at Brookside Chapel Dining Area.
