Mrs. Diehl was always extremely kind to me when I visited. May God's grace be upon the entire family, both now and always............Matthew 11: 28 - 30.

I only knew her later in life but I was amazed how she loved everyone at least when I was around. She was very tolerant of her daughter Jeannie. Only a mother could be like that. Considering her husband's illness while her children were growing up makes it seem like a miracle that she was able to keep the family together and have three good daughters. Only a good mother could have done. It kind of reminds me of my mother. I was the youngest of three children when my father died. I was three when he died but she was able to keep the family together.

Albina is preceded in death by her husband Joseph (Johnny) Anthony Diehl, her parents Joe and Eva (Stockert) Mattern and her siblings Magdalene, Martin and Reinhard Mattern. She is survived by her daughters Lavine (John) Dooley, Arlene and Jeannie Diehl, her sister Annie Phillips, close family friend James Donald, and numerous nieces and nephews.
