Barbara Jeanne Wehmeier, 82, of Houston, Texas, entered into Heaven on Friday, April 20, 2018. Barbara was born to William Kenneth Carson, and Pauline Carson, nee Armstrong, on December 23, 1935 in Salina, Kansas. She married the Rev. Dr. Waldemar Wehmeier on December 1, 1957 and became mother to 4 children. She enjoyed being a pastor's wife and accompanying him as he was called to serve various congregations throughout the Midwest before settling in Texas. Barbara worked for many years as an office secretary before retiring. She then found pleasure in being a homemaker, spending time with her growing family and traveling. One of her most memorable trips took her and her husband to Nigeria where they served as volunteers for a school term at the Lutheran Seminary.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, William and Pauline and sister, Nathalee Shriver. She is survived by her devoted husband, her 4 loving children: Sheryl, Charles (Barbara), Mark, and John, and her brother Dan Carson Sr. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl, Houston, TX 77055 on Tuesday, April 24 at 9:00 am. Service will follow immediately at 10:00 am.
