Benjamin Alcantara Lacsamana was born August 16th, 1942. He joined our Creator on July 6th 2018. His family and friends calls him Ben, Benjie or Benny. But his coworkers from BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) apparently calls him BAL ( from his first initials). He was born in Manila, Philippines.
Leaving behind: (wife / children/ daughter-in-law and 2 grand daughter)
He was married to his beautiful wife, Adoracion, ‘Dorie’ Mibulos. They had their wedding in Davao City, Philippines. Together they raised 3 beautiful children, Emmanuel their eldest child, Nanette the middle child, and Angelita their youngest (deceased since April 16,2008, due to Leukemia).
Emmanuel is married to Genelie Bagay-Lacsamana.
Nanette Lacsamana is a single Mom to her daughter- Iris Michelle Lacsamana, recent graduate from College – University of St Thomas (UST).
Angelita ‘Angie’ Lacsamana, left behind a daughter – Abby Ellyssa Lacsamana-Belardo, now lives in California with her Dad and step-Mom Gayle.
Siblings: Ben has two living sisters, their youngest one, Fe Aida Lacsamana Reyes, still lives in Davao City with her family. While his older sister Paz Lacsamana-Jensen lives in San Diego, CA with her children.
PARENTS: Both His father Ambrosio Lacsamana, and mother, Vicenta Alcantara are deceased.
Ben’s other siblings Valerio Lacsamana, Luz Lacsamana-Tobias and Rica Lacsamana- Adversario are also deceased.
Ben was 40 years old when he suffered from his 1st Stroke in 1982. So he lived the rest of 35 years, as a Stroke victim, with right sided weakness. His 2nd Stroke was last April 28th 2018. He was under Harbor Hospice care since May through his passing.
He was a member of the Jaycees club in Davao City, He worked as A Bank Manager for The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), in Branches from Cagayan De Oro City and Davao City. He briefly worked as an Insurance Agent for Sunlife Trust, before his stroke.
Benjamin also taught Literature Class at their privately owned school, The Light Bringer School. Most of his student have shared fond memories of his teachings.
Benjamin will be Missed dearly by his family, friends, colleagues, and students.

• Thank you to the family and friends that also contributed / donated monetary funds, and prayer warriors, especially: Sanduago Society of Texas- for choir- singing at his Funeral Mass and for keeping the family in their activities throughout Ben’s hospitalization.
• The YASTA ( Young Adults of St Thomas Aquinas) for keeping Iris involved in the Church Choir
• CFC and CFC-H.O.L.D family- for keeping Genelie and Nanette in their HOLD sisterhood and prayers, love and support.
• St Thomas Aquinas Parish and family- for their prayer and support group for the Lacsamana family throughout the year. Special thanks to their Legion Of Mary Ministry for having Mama Pilgrim Mary visit the duplex and the house for the weekly prayer groups.
