September 8, 1924August 22, 2010

BETTY JEAN FRANKFURT AILLET passed away on Sunday, the 22nd of August 2010, in Houston, Texas, of natural causes.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Aillet; her granddaughter, Jennifer Aillet; and by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Aillet. She is survived by her five children: Ronald Aillet and his wife Eleanor, Richard Aillet, Michael Aillet, Rebecca Aillet Bratton, Donna Aillet Huff and her partner Paul Delacoe; as well as 14 grandchildren, who will serve as honorary pallbearers during the service; and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish their memories of her, and carry on the love and devotion she shared with her family.

Born on the 8th of September 1924, in Hollywood, California, and a long time resident of West University Place in Houston, Betty was a graduate of San Jacinto High School, after which she spent her life as a housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and volunteer. She lived her last few years at the Village of Tanglewood, and the family would like to extend their thanks to the staff there.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 25th of August, in the Parlor of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, where the family invites you to join them as they celebrate her long, joy-filled life.

A funeral service is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 26th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where the family will visit with friends immediately following the service.

As it was her wish to be cremated, Betty will join her husband in Colorado when her ashes are spread in the same location as his.

I will never forget this wonderful lady, who bestowed so much kindness and cheer to myself and others. She befriended me in the mid seventies, just after my husband passed away, and we have shared much ever since.
I will now cherish our last encounter, this June at a Senior Center concert.
May God Bless Betty, the Aillet family,
and all who grieve her memory...

This news upsets my entire family. We lived next door to Betty for the last 21 years. Betty was a pioneer in West University. We were fortunate to have enjoyed her friendship. May God give you comfort in this painful time.

Donna - it has been some time since I was around your Mom but what I remember most is how much fun she seemed to have. My heart aches for you and I feel your hurt and sorrow. Be strong and try to focus on all the good memories. I will see you at the service. Love you. Sherin
