Betty Hutcheson Cropper, 94, passed peacefully from this world on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her home. She was born in Bristol, Virginia to Myrtle and Keefe Hutcheson on August 10, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold S. Cropper, and many beloved family and friends. She is survived by her sons Stewart (Joyce), Keefe (Tina), and Michael (Donna); Cropper grandchildren Peter (Molly), Emily, Amanda, Josh, Michael, Stephen, Cole, Jocelyn, Meredith Macek Hamilton (Josiah) and Austin Macek, as well as many great grandchildren and cousins.
Betty was a faithful and involved member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, an artist with amazing skill in sketching and watercolor, a diligent letter and note writer, an entrepreneur and wonderful friend to many.
As with all, her life ebbed away like the closing of a beautiful day. And while her life closed in the twilight, we know it opened in the dawn, in the glorious presence of her loving God and in the presence of so many dearly loved who preceded her in death, now gathered around her in glory.
