To say you were amazing is an understatement. I was so fortunate to have you in my life if only for a short time. From the moment I met you, you opened your home to me, you allowed me to have a mother daughter connection once again and you showed me the importance of family all over again. I will forever cherish the time I had with you and I will carry your love with me forever. 

To Brenda’s family I am so sorry for your loss. Brenda and I were friends in school for many years   We laughed and talked for hours. I remember she loved sports, school, her church, and most of all her family. I know you all will miss her terribly. She looks so much like her sweet mom. I was loosing my husband at the same timeframe she was loosing Joe Wayne. We had many conversations all last year and I know how much she was grieving. You were so much more than my Mother. My best friend, my teacher, my guardian and confidant. You had an innocence about you that was sweet and kind. Your heart was fierce and your tongue always sharp, hehe. I learned the true meaning of strength and love from you. I will carry you with me with great honor, for the rest of my days and I love you so much

I was so sad to hear about Brenda’s passing. We were friends for forty five years, and I can truly say she was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She had a huge heart. We had some great times together, and she will be missed
