Cayetana Y Pena

Born May 17, 1930 in Texas City, Texas to Eusevia V. Ydrogo and Arturo Ydrogo. She was a Texas City Disaster survivor in 1947 and a cancer survivor in 2001. She worked for Williams Elementary School where she later retired after 30 years of service. She was a dedicated grandmother and always enjoyed the time she spent with her four grand-babies. Being an experienced Food Service Worker, she enjoyed cooking for the holidays and being surrounded by her family.

She will join her husband, Humberto Pena Sr., her son, Rudolph Pena, her parents, Eusevia V. Ydrogo and Arturo Ydrogo, her brothers; Jesus and Julian Ydrogo, her sisters; Josie Y. Stroud, Magdalena Y. Horn, Erlinda Ydrogo, Paubla Ydrogo and Ernestina Y. Bohannon.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Humberto Pena Jr. and wife Joann Pena of Pearland, Texas, her daughter, Anna Maria Solis of Houston, Texas, her brother, Pete Ydrogo and sister Toni Y. Eastep, husband Donald Eastep, both of Texas City, Texas and her nephew Amos Ydrogo, wife Dolores Ydrogo of League City, Texas, Grandchildren; Tomas Solis Jr., Daniel Solis, wife Stephanie, Fidel Alvarado Jr., wife Jennifer, Raymond Anthony Alvarado, Matthew Mendoza, Martin Mendoza, Jonathan Balderas, and Krystal Mendoza. Great-grandchildren, Lexi Solis, Jacob Solis, Fidel Isaac Alvarado and Nathan Alvarado.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st from 4-8pm with a rosary at 7pm. The service will be Saturday, February 22nd at 10am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with the graveside service to follow immediately after at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
