Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Betty, his parents Albert and Cecelia Pustejovsky, brothers George Pustejovsky and Melvin Post, and son-in-law Don Walenta. He is survived by his longtime sweetheart Almeida Bravenec, daughters Belinda Walenta, Kathy Pustejovsky and husband Craig Ingerson, Cecilia Wahlberg and husband Jon, and son Charles “Clint” Pustejovsky, Jr. and wife Michelle; grandchildren Cheryl Walenta Gorvie and husband Alfred, Amy Walenta Ripley and husband Travis, Scott Wahlberg, Brian Wahlberg, Charles Pustejovsky III and wife Catherine, and Becky Pustejovsky; great-grandchildren Evan and Lily Gorvie; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was born at his parents’ home in Moulton, Texas on January 24, 1926 and graduated from Moulton High School in 1943. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He spent his career as a gravity meter quartz technician at Texas Instruments and Worden Gravity Meter Company. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 1959, volunteering in education, worship, food pantry, and other outreach ministries. He supported and volunteered at the Czech Culture Center and was a member of SPJST Lodge #88. Charles was an avid gardener who could grow anything from vegetables to citrus trees to his prized pecan trees. He was a faithful husband and father who taught his family by example to be God-fearing, always exhibiting honesty and integrity.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7901 Westview, Houston, Texas with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 am. Interment will be at Moulton City Cemetery on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11 am.
