Dorothy Florine Shirey was born March 21, 1933 in Kilgore, Texas and passed into eternal rest on March 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Chappell and Vernise Phillips, brother, Edgar Chappell; sister Juanita (Nikki) Kruger; sons, Lanis Tucker, Kenton Tucker, Sr.; granddaughter, Melody Goodwin. Left to cherish her loving memory are: daughter, Madolyn Goodwin; grandchildren, Ronald Lee Goodwin, John Edward Goodwin, Kenton Barr Tucker, Jr., Amie Diann Tucker.; great-grandchildren, Devonna Lee Goodwin, Alexandra Marie Goodwin, Devin Wade Tucker, Jacob Morris Goodwin, Also, survived by brother and sisters, Vivian Dewberry, Barbara Haines (Jay), Martha Hamlin, Morris Chappell (Sherry), Vernise Keating; life-long companion, Cary Barr Tucker and many nieces and nephews. Services are being handled by Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 11, at 1:00pm with interment following in Brookside Memorial Park.
