She was born on October 20, 1930 in Cadereyta Jimenez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Domingo Rodriguez Gonzales and Beatriz Elizondo Hernandez. God loved Esperanza so much that he received her into heaven on Valentine’s Day.
Esperanza was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of our family and highly respected in her neighborhood and community. She was a second mother to the numerous nieces and nephews throughout our family. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and of the Denver Harbor Senior Citizens Center, where she enjoyed the company and fellowship of her many friends.
Esperanza is survived by her loving husband, Tomas H. Aparicio, 96, and her sisters Guadalupe Rodriguez, 95, and Consuelo Rodriguez de Sepulveda, 91. She is also survived by her three sons and their spouses Thomas and Linda Kristine Aparicio, Luis Carlos and Lucy Aparicio, Adrian and Patricia Aparicio, and her daughter Alma Edith Aparicio. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Gloria, Beatrice, Nicky, Luis Gabriel, Adrian Jr., Rene, Ruben, Jorge, Angelica, and Alma Beatriz; and her 8 great-grandchildren Amarus, Lazarus, Lilliana, Ari, Brixton, Adriella, Alessandra, and Ian.
We are especially grateful for the help and loving kindness from their neighbors and friends Troy and Teresa Medina, Alma Guerrero, and Josie De Leon, Director Denver Harbor Senior Center, in caring for and watching over our mother. We are also grateful for all of the outpouring of love and care from our family, friends, and neighbors.
