

Evelyn Mildred (Prellop) Schuster was born on December 8, 1932 in Lincoln, Texas. She was baptised at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lincoln on December 18, 1932. She was confirmed on March 30, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas. Her confirmation verse was Matthew 10:32 " Whosoever shall confess me before man, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." She was married to Lee Roye C. Schuster on August 3, 1952 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas. They had one daughter, Brenda Kaye Schuster born on October 31, 1954.
Evelyn was an active homemaker, an excellent seamstress for her family and had a green thumb with her vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas since 1960 until her passing on July 17, 2025. During her 65 years of membership she sang in the Cantata Choir for 20 years and she was involved with Sunday school for 30 years either teaching the little ones or taking attendance for adult Bible Class.
Evelyn was an avid traveler. She and her husband took many cruises, trips to Europe and bus tours across the USA. they also traveled with their daughter and grandchildren to Europe, the Virgin Islands, and Hawaii. They made several trips a year to visit them in Michigan.
She worked for the Spring Branch ISD for 45 years. She was an aide for the Physically Impaired Program working with both elementary and middle school students. She was the "beloved" crossing guard at both Spring Shadows Elementary School and Frostwood Elementary, where she retired from in 2017.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roye C. Schuster in October 2016. They were Married for 64 years. Both her parents, Alfred and Otilla (Schuster) Prellop, and one brother, Monroe Prellop.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Schuster Kleidon and fiance, Kerry Mullin of Katy, Texas. Granddaughters, Briana Kleidon Martin (Joe) of Houston, Texas and Kaylee Kleidon of Aspen, Colorado. One great Granddaughter, Anne Kay Martin, two brothers, Alfred (Jeri) Prellop of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Dellert (Mary Ann) Prellop of Giddings, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be missed by her family and friends. She remained faithful in her walk with the Lord, finished the race, and now rests with Him in heaven.
The Staff at Sunrise Senior Living took wonderful care of my mother for the seven years she lived there, for the kindness of the Hospice nurses and those involved in the care of "Miss Evelyn." I am forever grateful, Thank you.
