October 10, 1964 in the state of Colorado. He was the 10th of 11 children born to Odilia Garza.
He came to Houston as a very young child and built his life here.
Flo was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, friend, and more than anything, a super proud
Grandpa. He was an avid music lover; he loved his rock & roll and tejano music, and was
always ready to dance. Flo had an infectious smile and laugh and a compassionate spirit. He
loved being with family and was always there no matter how big or small the celebration. He is
going to be greatly missed, as he was a big part of so many lives.
Our hearts are broken in a million pieces, but we are all thankful for the time we shared together
and for all the wonderful memories he left with us. Nothing will ever be the same without you,
but we will continue our traditions in your honor because that’s what you would have wanted.
Flo is preceded in death by his mother Odilia Garza and his brothers Joe Vilano and Guillermo
“Willie” Garza. He is survived by his son, Brandon, his grand-daughters Aaliyah & Brielle Garza,
siblings; Francisca, Mary, Perla, Linda, Rosie, Tony, David, Jr., and a multitude of nieces and
nephews.
In the words of his son, Brandon; “You never had a hateful bone in your body, your heart was
gold and your love was genuine.” We love you weirdo and you will live on in our hearts forever.
We will make sure that your grandbaby’s know how cool you were and how much you loved
them.
