
Born in "Wichita, Kansas" on April 6, 1927 passed away September 7, 2011. Raised and worked on the 320 acre family farm. Harold served in World War II in the United States Navy. Later he worked at Comet Rice Mill of Houston, Texas for 35 year as a Mill Wright. He retired, and resided; in Tarkington Prairie, Texas until his death. Harold was also a Mason of the Masonic Lodge. He was a man of his word, often described as honest and humorous.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Mildred Erlene Ford of 63 years, children, Son Kenneth Ford and wife Melissa, Daughter Marilyn Pittman and husband John, Son David Ford and wife Carmen, Son Jeffrey Ford, Daughter Kathleen Wind and husband Clement, Daughter Sandra Cowles and husband Kirby and Son Ronald Ford and wife Jamie; 7 children 43 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and numerous loved friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2011 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home Saturday, September 10, 2011 with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
