Helena was born in 1925 in Lansing, Michigan but moved to Houston as a child. It was here that she met and married her husband, Tony, and raised her family. Her house was the center of ever-expanding family gatherings. The heart of her family, she was known for her generosity, practical advice, and quick wit. She was a long-time fan of Wheel of Fortune and an avid scratch-off player; the Texas Lottery will never be the same. She may not have won the jackpot, but those who have known and loved her know that they were gifted the greatest prize. Rest in peace, Mom.
