Lilas Mae Outlaw, 82, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was the beloved only child of Floyd and Alberta Outlaw of Houston, TX. Born on March 25, 1939, Lilas grew up in the Heights, graduating from Reagan High School in the class of 1957.
Lilas’ Christian faith was an integral part of her life. She used her gift of music to serve the Lord as church organist and as a lifelong member of her church choir. She taught Sunday school, volunteered in the church office and as a greeter even until the end.
As a travel agent, Lilas was afforded many opportunities to travel extensively. She will be remembered for her passion for travel, her love of family and friends, and most importantly her love of the Lord.
Lilas is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alberta Outlaw. She is survived by numerous cousins and many lifelong friends whom she considered to be family.
There will be a private family graveside service at Brookside Memorial Park, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the North American Mission Board at namb.net.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brooksidefuneralhomelauder.com for the Outlaw family.
