It is at times like this, that we must remember that to be absent from the body, is to be present with The Lord. Mrs. Spies had such a sweet spirit and so much love for Mr. Spies and Don. I pray for comfort as both of you are going through this valley. Rest knowing that she is no longer suffering in any way and has reconnected with family and friends and I am sure sharing updates on how proud she is of Don. My prayers are being lifted now and in the upcoming days.

I will always remember Lydia as the most caring, strong, and grateful for living in abiding unity with us at Zion Lutheran Church of Houston; and for her sharing her being with me and everyone she met. And I will always remember Lydia and Weldon lovingly sharing each other. And I will always remember Lydia sharing Bible Study with me for many years.
