Margery Ann Ellisor Gray was called home to be with our Lord a day after her 89th birthday on March 18, 2021. She was born to R. W. and Marguerite Herrmann Ellisor of Houston, Texas. Margery was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy in 2012 following 60 years of marriage. She was a much loved mother to James D. Gray Jr. (wife Ann), Karen (Gray) Alford (husband David), and William E. Gray (wife Liz). Through her loving example, she instilled strong Christian values that have served her family well. Margery especially loved her role as ‘Meme’ to her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A strong, intelligent woman of faith, Margery loved to love on people, touching all the lives of those who knew her. She always kept a positive attitude, loving to tease with a flair of humor. There was never a stranger that she would not greet with a smile and she made friends everywhere she went. Margery was a graduate of San Jacinto High School and the University of Houston. She was a devoted Catholic who attended St. Theresa Catholic Church and attended daily mass with Jimmy at St. Mary’s Seminary. Margery volunteered for more than 20 years at the Catholic Charity Guild.
