Melba was the oldest of seven children. She loved baseball, fishing, big on family. Her trips in the motor home were special to her. She was retired from ExxonMobil Chemical Plant as the Chief Chemist. Prior to that, she worked under Sinclair Koppers, and U. S. Steel. She is credited with a Patented Invention at U.S. Steel.
Melba is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Collier, Billy Collier, and George Collier; sisters, Patricia Collier and Betty Collier.
Melba is survived by her brother, William R. Collier and family and extended family of Shawn Trader, Zachary Trader and Jacob Trader. She loved and was loved by all of her family and friends.
A graveside service for Melba will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
