Play Tribute Movie

Ricardo was originally from Rio Grande Valley, and raised in Sebastian Texas. Born to Luz Lara Oviedo Sr. and Natalia Garza Oviedo he was the 7th of 10 siblings. Always looking for adventure, he left home on life’s journey at the age of 17. Although he left Sebastian, his heart was never far from it always remembering his family. He moved to Houston where he became a father at the age of 24 and eventually the proud father of 5 children. Those who new him well will remember him for love of family, the Dallas Cowboys, sim-plicity, and for courage and strength of character. He lived his life as he chose, always embracing God’s will, and never afraid of the consequences. Diagnosis of liver cancer would not deter him from life’s challenge. He continued working throughout his illness thus, providing for his family. Obviously too ill to continue working, his beloved wife (Moni) stopped him from working any longer. At age 64, Ricardo was called home. He will be remembered for his love of living and never being afraid but most important for love of his wife and children.

Who would of thought this would be the last time, I always thought I’d have you forever and I will, I will forever have you in my Heart
As days go by I will think of you and the small talks we’d share every other week and the last long talk we had about you , me my children and how I’m supposed to be their rock to guide them so they can fly out on their own and be strong. Thank you for your advice and words of encouragement I know how strong and independent you always were and I feel I was a bit the same ... I was not afraid of taking chances .... Uncle I will always have you in my Heart forever
May you rest easy my sweet Uncle
Love your Niece,
Diane Rene Barrera

Richard and I had a friendship that was very unique, he has touched my life with good memories. I will remember him for the rest of my own life. He past away on the same day Feb, 12th 2020, the same day 30 years ago when my mother went to meet her maker 1990.
My condolences to family and friends. May God be with you, in Jesus names.
