Richard Wayne Graves Journey began on December 6, 1956. A bouncing baby boy was the second son born to Charlie Graves Sr. and Mary Graves in Houston, TX. At an early age Richard accepted Christ, later he joined East Park Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. Richard attended public school and graduated in 1975 from Forest Brook High School. As some of you know, Mr. Graves had a special gift and passion for Art. He was honored with an achievement that allowed him to leave his legacy in the hallways of the mighty Jaguars by hand painting the school’s Mascot on the wall of Forest Brook. After graduation, Richard enlisted in the U.S Army in 1976 where he served his county. He then went on to attend Art Institutes School, and shortly after, he began a career as a Blueprint Engineer for The City of Houston. Richard Graves was preceded in death by his father Charlie Graves Sr., Brother Charlie Garves Jr., and son Murphy Fuller. Richard leaves to cherish his memories: Wife Bridget Graves, Mother Mary Graves, Brothers Anthony Graves and Jeffery Graves, Sister Danetta Graves, and Uncle Rev Saul Gates Sr (Laura) Mr. Graves was blessed to have been a great father to his children Daughters Lakisha Everett (Eric), Shakira Fuller, Sandy Fuller. His sons Richard Graves Jr, Reginald Fuller (Cinzia), and Shane Fuller. His legacy will also live on through the lives of his 13 grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and close friends.
