I met Sandra at the nail salon. She was a pistol and we became fast friends. When she retired we gave her an impromptu party with mimosas and donuts at the nail salon. She always spoke so proudly of her family and loved being called “Sassy!”

She will be sorely missed, but I’m grateful to have known her. RIP my sweet friend

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during their time of grief. Sandra was my boss for a period of time at VALIC.
She not only guided me with my job assignments but was there when I needed advice with my personal life. She was not only a boss but a friend.

I remember Sandra in Jacketeers at GPHS. Her vivacious love of life and her tremendous kindness really stand out to me during those years. Her friendship was a precious treasure for me and I won’t forget the great times we shared. Rest well in Heaven, sweet friend. 💝

When I was just a little girl, Susan & Sandra Chenault were neighbors & I truly thought they were the rock stars of our neighborhood .

Sandra was a force to be reckoned with, in a good way. Strong, capable, loving and generous. A wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and in my case, cousin. A mentor to many. My heart goes out to her beloved family and many friends, sharing in their loss.

I can see this like it happened yesterday: we were "doing the drag" down the main street of Mart, Texas. In complete and utter awe of my beautiful, magnificent cousins, I was ecstatic to be included with Sandra, Susan, Jeannie and Prissy - all at Aunt Bertie's house. Family visits to Galena Park and summer vacations at Peaceful Valley Ranch were full of laughter, pranks, country dances, BBQ's, summer night dreams and just loads of pure fun. I am saddened to hear this news and even though I am not with you all in person at this sad time, I am truly with you in spirit and in memory of this gentle, kind, loving woman. Rest in Peace, beautiful Sandra. You touch our lives in so many ways. Love to you all, Cherry

Sandra and her parents and sisters were the best neighbors ever. They showed me what loving, loyal family looks like and what it takes to be a great neighbor. I have great memories of sitting in the front yard and making homemade ice cream. I also remember Sandra and Susan coming to sleep over at my house to keep my mom company while my dad worked the night shift. Sandra showed me that women could be in leadership at work. I will miss her.

I was only privileged to know Sandra for a short time, but found her a loving, kind and funny woman. I will always be thankful to her for sharing her beautiful daughter Tara who is now my very special daughter in law.

Sandra has been a very dear friend for many years. We had many wonderful experiences traveling, dinning, and laughing with our spouses. I loved to follow her on facebook keeping up with her beautiful friends and family and of coursed her added humor.
May the family find peace and comfort at this time of sorrow.
