Truman (T.J.) Joseph Blazek, Sr., 75, of Cleveland, Texas passed away April 20, 2019. He was born in Houston, Texas on September 15, 1943. Truman graduated from St. Thomas High School and received his Diploma in 1961. He married Betty Janelle McGee on April 18, 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 - 1967. T.J. worked in electronics for Sears & Roebuck and THE (Texas Home Electronics). T.J. had a passion for family, fishing, football (Texans, Texas A & M & college), girls softball, baseball (Astros), music and hunting.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Betty; children:Tina Janelle Blazek Scates and husband Tim, Truman Joseph "Joey" Blazek, Jr.; grandchildren: Amy Lynn (Landon), Abby (Glenn) & Erin; great-grandchildren: Carson, Oliver & Faelynn-due July 2019; sister-in-law Geri Blazek; nephew Mike; maternal aunt Kathryn Pitts; numerous cousins and an extended family of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Gilbert Blazek, Sr. and Evelyn Pratt Blazek, brother Eugene Gilbert Blazek, Jr. "Gene Jr." and nephew Tim.
Family will receive extended family and friends for services at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039; visitation on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
