Valente G. Garza

Valente G. Garza, de 89 años, falleció el miércoles 14 de marzo de 2018. Nacio en Tamaulipas, México, fue un amoroso esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo que siempre puso a su familia primero. Valente siempre será recordado por su personalidad extrovertida, carismática y su cálido sentido del humor. Disfrutaba pasar su tiempo libre con su familia jugando a las cartas, loteria, viendo películas antiguas, trabajando en el jardín y contando chistes. Su mayor logro en la vida fue su familia y el amor que todos comparten. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposa por 55 años, Dolores G. "Lolys" Garza, una hija, María Elena Pérez; y fue el último hijo sobreviviente de Gerónimo y Paulina Garza. Sus hermanos Trinidad, Adalberto, Eva, Francisco, Cleotilde y Aníbal lo precedieron en la muerte. Le sobreviven sus hijos; hija, Martha Degracia y esposo Eduardo; hijos, Carlos Garza y su esposa Nicky, y Jorge Garza y su esposa Pam; 11 nietos; 6 bisnietos; y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. La visita se llevará a cabo a las 3:00 p.m. a las 9:00 p.m., domingo 18 de marzo de 2018 en Crespo Funeral Home Navigation, 2516 Navigation Blvd. Houston, Texas 77003, con un rosario que se efectuara a las 7:00 p.m. El funeral y el entierro tendrán lugar en el Cementerio Earthman Resthaven a las 10:00 a.m. del lunes 19 de marzo de 2018.

Valente G. Garza, age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who always put his family first. Valente will always be remembered for his outgoing, charismatic personality and warm sense of humor. He enjoyed spending his free time with his family playing cards, watching old movies, working in the yard or telling jokes. His proudest accomplishment in life was his family and the love they all share. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dolores G. “Lolys” Garza, a daughter, Maria Elena Perez; and was the last surving child of Geronimo and Paulina Garza. His siblings Trinidad, Adalberto, Eva, Francisco, Cleotilde and Anibal all preceded him in death. He is survived by his children; daughter, Martha Degracia and husband Eduardo; sons, Carlos Garza and wife Nicky, and Jorge Garza and wife Pam; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Crespo Funeral Home Navigation, 2516 Navigation Blvd. Houston, Texas 77003, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside funeral service and interment will take place at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018.
