Vera Emily Greve. October 6, 1915 – July 29, 2018. Vera was born to Ottilia and Willie J. Greve of Frelsburg, TX and is predeceased by her sister, Clarice Henkhaus and her 2 brothers, Preston and Clarence Greve. She is survived by her niece and her niece’s husband, Jan and Paul Cottage of Houston. Vera retired from Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad after 33 ½ years of service in 1972. Being very active in the St. Anne’s Alter Society, the St. Anne’s Guild and the Catholic Women’s Business Organization, and serving as president of these organizations for multiple years, she was never an idle retiree. She took on the role of the family matriarch at an early age and she was very involved in all aspects of the lives of her small immediate family. Visitation will be at the Heights Funeral Home this Thursday, August 2 from 5 pm to 8 pm with the rosary being said at 7:00. Services will be at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Friday, August 3 at 10:00 am. The interment will be on Saturday, August 4 at 10:00 am at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Frelsburt, Texas, where she will be laid to rest by her parents and her brother Preston.
