

Beloved husband, father grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Claude D. Lackey, age 80 passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30th, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Claude was born in Leander, Texas, and resided in Stanislaus County for the past 60 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After serving his country, he worked in the fruit fields and then as a forklift driver for more than 25 years. Claude loved to play cards, although dominoes was his game of choice. He was an avid craftsman and loved to work with wood. Although Claude was a man of few words, he was quick to crack a joke. He was a loving and very generous man with a heart of gold.
Claude was preceded in death by his only child, his beloved son, Larry Lackey. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Loretta Lackey, granddaughters, Kym and Kortney Lackey, and great grandson, Jordan Lackey. Claude was an amazing man and will be missed by his family and friends. We love you with all our hearts.
A Visitation will be on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 4 – 8 pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012 at 10:00 am both at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA.
