

Fernando Abeytia Luna passed away on March 8, 2016. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and cousin. Fernando was born in Salinas, CA on March 6, 1981 and was a graduate of North Salinas High School. During his high school years, he had aspirations of going to culinary school. His talents in baking and barbecuing were always appreciated by family and friends. He was a life-long San Francisco 49ers fan and cared most deeply about his family, especially his nephews and nieces.
Fernando leaves behind his legacy of love for his family. The term "Family First" was of the utmost importance to Fernando. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family members in need. He had an adventurous spirit, a real zest for life and a contagious smile. He was employed with Sierra Pacific Distribution Services for over five years as a Warehouseman.
Fernando is survived by his parents Art and Priscilla Luna, sister Ernestina Santana, brother Gabriel Luna, (maternal) grandparents James and Aurora Abeytia, (paternal) grandma Nellie Luna, nieces Cassandra Boyer, Samantha and Alyana Luna and nephews Evan Jae Luna, Matthew Zae and Joshua Drue Santana, as well as his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his aunt Margaret Beaver, (paternal) grandfather Robert Luna, uncle Jay Abeytia and his nephew Andrew Luis Santana.
Fernando was a beautiful person and will be immensely missed by all those who know and love him. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in the Heritage Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Lakewood Heritage Chapel with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
