Lloyd Alofs was born in Holland, Michigan on a lovely spring day of May 12, 1944. He served in the military during the early 60’s as a National Guard. He attended Reform Bible College in Michigan where he met his wife, Janice. They moved to Escalon in 1974 to start a new life in California. He was taken home by the Lord on the afternoon of January 14, 2019 at the age of 74.
He was the youngest of a family of 4 children. A husband to Janice who preceded him just less than 2 years ago. A father of 4 children: Roger, Glenn, Kim and Laurel. A grandfather to Jenessa, Tristan, Taitum, Colton, Makayla and David. And with a great grandson Hunter.
He is best described as a simple, kind and a hardworking man with a big heart who always tried his best to provide for his family and always have a willing hand to lend to those who were in need. His services to the Lord was always a priority in his life. He also enjoyed providing extra needed assistance during church activities. His sudden and unexpected absence will surely be missed by his family, and the people he had touched.
