Jefrrie Blasé is survived by her sisters Pansy A. Blasé of Houston, Texas, Mary E. Blasé of New Iberia, Louisiana, Patricia Jones of New Orleans, Louisiana, her brother Louis J. Blasé II of Dallas, Texas, her four daughters La’Shonda Blasé Harris of Spring, Texas, Tanisha Blasé of Spring, Texas, Rochelle Blasé of Scott, Louisiana, and the late Samaria Blasé of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dejean Blasé of Houston, Texas, Cody Blasé of Conroe, Texas, Endesha Blasé of Scott, Louisiana, Shavonda Chevalier of Houston, Texas, America Gatewood of Scott, Louisiana, and a host of great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Preceding her in rest were her father Louis J. Blasé Sr. of Cade, Louisiana and her mother Lillie Mae Porter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was also raised by her stepmother Sylvia Blasé of New Orleans, Louisiana. Jeffrie was a 1969 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in New Orleans. She graduated from college at the University of New Orleans with a degree in Business Administration. She was married in 1982 to Gregory Nagin of New Orleans Louisiana. She worked as a secretary at the Phillips Petroleum Company that was based in New Orleans but later moved with the company to Lafayette, Louisiana.
Jeffrie lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She liked traveling to different places. She enjoyed being around friends and family, snacking, cooking, and spending precious times with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeffrie always was a breath of fresh air and always kept a smile on her face no matter how she was feeling. She always had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way just by chit-chatting. She always had solutions to situations through the word of God and was a member of the House of Faith, a full gospel church in Lafayette Louisiana. where she became a member of the choir. Her favorite past time hobbies included family outings, going to the trail rides and the casinos.
A memorial service is scheduled for 27 April at 12:00 pm, at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, Texas 77338 with a reception to follow at the same location. Mr. Alex Southwell will officiate the ceremony.
