Maxine L. Richardson, 92 of Huntington passed away at 7:15 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Tipton House. Maxine attended Huntington High School. She ran a daycare out of her home for 30 years. She was a member of Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church in Andrews. Maxine loved to travel with her husband, spending time with her family and was a great cook.
She was born on February 23, 1927 in Huntington, the daughter of Foster and Lilly (Burkhart) Schultz.
She was united in marriage to Max Richardson on March 3, 1945. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons: Timothy (Rowena) Richardson of Huntington; Mark Richardson of Roanoke; a daughter: Ann (Dean) Hauke of Huntington; a sister: Mabel Carpenter of California; two brothers: Charles Schultz of Laude, IN; Wayne Schultz of Huntington; six grandchildren: Amy Richardson, Sarah (Joseph) Christ, Elijah (Katie Beth) Richardson, Rachel (Jordan) McCoy, Caleb Richardson, Rebecca Hauke and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters: Wilma Dane, Margaret Poppy, Gladys Thurston, Phyllis Plew and Janet Hoover.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Jeff Necessary officiating.
Entombment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County.
