Linda Hatfield Beason was born December 12, 1947, to Dorothy and L.C. Hatfield. When she was a child, Linda had polio and was bedridden in New Mexico where her father was employed. She graduated from Junior High School in Bristol, Tennessee, in 1963, and S. R. Butler High School in Huntsville in 1967.

In her later years there, she worked with disabled children and had one very special blind student who she accompanied through all his classes each school day.
Linda was married and divorced and had one child, Catherine Leigh Lynn. She was a devoted mother and nursed her daughter through a devastating illness that took her daughter’s life at age 25. Mrs. Beason is survived by her granddaughter, Madison Hope Lynn.
A member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Linda served on the vestry and was in the choir. A Service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 4 pm at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 8020 Whitesburg Dr., Huntsville. Burial will be in the church columbarium.
