Patricia L Cook-Sharief was born on January 9, 1944 in Washington D.C. at the historic Freedmen's Hospital. She was the youngest of two, born to Louise and Floice McKnight. She worked at the Indiana State Office Building initially after high school and eventually joined Eli Lilly and Company where she retired after 27 years of service. Later she would provide childcare services for many families in the Indianapolis area. Patricia was a special person who gave her best effort and expected you would do the same. Treasured memories of her life will remain with us all throughout the rest of our journey. Tomorrow will bring new experiences, destinations and challenges, reflect on the good times and continue to move forward as she would want us all to do.
