

87, completed her earthly journey on March 18, 2013 as gracefully as anyone afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease possibly could. She now joins her beloved husband Klaus, to whom she was married for 59 years prior to his death in 2010. Anna was born in Russia in 1926 and fled with the retreating German troops during World War Two along with her mother and brother Albert Weiss, in 1943. It was during this “adventure” that she met her lifelong friend, Wally Bashenow. Together, they immigrated to the US where Anna met her future husband while both were learning to speak English at Manual High School. Anna is surived by 4 children, Doris (Jerry) Goodwin, Lucy (Rick) Bedwell, John (Nancy) Deubelbeiss, and Joanne (Dan) Proefrock; 10 grandchildren, Brett, Liz (Cory), Nicole (Josh), Karl (Kate), Mark, Telka, Emily, Austin, Anna and Domionic, and 3 great grandchildren who brough her much joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Her diverse interests included cooking, sewing, furniture refinishing, gardening, and bringing order to everyday life. Prior to her illness, she was a member of St. Joseph Chapel. A viewing will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on March 21st, at Little & Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel followed by a service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
