Harriett Jacquelyn Sandy Cramer age 87 of Indianapolis passed away on July 28, 2022 Jackie was born in Indianapolis to Harriett and Dr William Sandy on November 6, 1934 She survived the December 7 1941 air raid on Wheeler Field Hawaii She graduated from Marion IN High School and then was a Phi Beta Kappa foreign language 1955 graduate of Indiana University Her Passions: spouse of 68 years (Gene), children (Cathy, William, Bob), grandchildren (Andrew, Grace, Katelyn, Evan), In-laws (Dan, Kris, Lana), animal rescues (esp. dogs), bridge games, Alpha Gamma Delta, mac & cheese, chocolate, Music (choirs), community theater (Epilogue), Church of the Savior United Methodist, Allisonville Christian Church, Friends of Bill W, Hawaii From Bob: She would make me banana bread even though she hated the smell of bananas. I’m relieved she is no longer in pain From William: One of my fondest memories as a child was my mom tossing a baseball underhand to me in the backyard helping me learn to hit it. That night in little league, I had my first base hit. Ed Sheeran said it best. “You were an angel in the shape of my mum. You got to see the person I have become. Spread your wings and I know, that when God took you back, he said, hallelujah, you’re home. From Cathy: I always remember how supportive my mom was since she did everything, she could for me to succeed in school. When she found me in tears over an 8th grade art project, she grabbed a paring knife and carved a duck out of a bar of soap. The funny thing is I got an award for that project. Celebration of her Life will be on Saturday, August 13, at Allisonville Christian Church, 7701 N. Allisonville Rd. Visiting hours will be from 10-11am and a service from 11-11:30. Leisure clothing, masks, music, and memories. Contributions to Marion County Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
