Dear Kathy,

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how much you love and admire your Mom from our little chats. Please know that I am here for you. There is never enough time with the ones we love. The pain will lessen in time, but your beautiful memories with her will always be there in your heart where part of her will always be! ♥

With the deepest of sympathy,

I got a truly awesome bonus mother with Jean. I lucked out. When my friend Tori called me to say we would have a celebration of life gathering instead of a funeral, I already knew that would be her wishes. Always welcoming, always loving and ready to lend an ear and share wisdom even if she had a hard day doing what she loved being a nurse.

Dear Kathy:

Please know that your Doermer School of Business colleagues are thinking about you during this difficult time. Having just lost my Dad a few months ago, I know the sadness you are going through. The grief we experience is driven by the profound love we had - and for that love we can be grateful. Hoping you can keep happy memories close and that they will be a source of comfort for you.

My sincere condolences - and a reminder to give yourself some time and grace in coming to grips with your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.
