Colin "Collie" Gerard MacDonald

Collie was born July 27th 1938 in Mabou to the late John Finley and Mary Sarah MacDonald. He was a life-long member of St. Mary's Church, Mabou.

In Collie's early years he began his fishing career with his father and he continued to do so all his adult life.

Collie was an avid card player and in the past also enjoyed attending Bingo games throughout the communities. He was a well respected neighbor and lent a hand to anyone in need. Collie was a man of few words, however when he spoke, all listened.

Collie enjoyed the love of his life Catherine who have been married for over 40 years. He is survived by his children, Colleen (Kevin) Ingraham, Cheticamp, Gerard (Chy), Windsor Ontario; Grandchildren; Colin, Kyle, Ingraham, Colin, Samantha, Sydney MacDonald, great-granddaughters, Mila, Tia and Elana Ingraham; step-grandchildren, Nolan and Megan MacIntyre; sisters, Ann MacMaster (Gerard); and Mary MacDonald; brother, John Francis MacDonald; sister-in-laws, Donna Anne and Isabel MacDonald.

Besides his parents, Collie was predeceased by his step-son, John MacIntyre; siblings, Mary Catherine, Alexander, D.A, Catherine Florence, I.D, Kenneth Joseph, Rita, Treasa, Sarah Anne, Dan Archie and William Francis.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday July 27th in St. Mary's Church, Mabou, from 3-7 p.m. with Funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, July 28th in St. Mary's Church, Mabou at 11:00 a.m. with father Danny MacLennan and Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
