Eldon Lee Alderson

April 8, 1966January 9, 2019

Eldon Lee Alderson "Red", 52, of San Jose, California passed away January 9, 2019 in Gilroy, California. He was born April 8, 1966 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Sharon Kay Blauvelt (Morris) and Eldon "Al" Alderson. Lee grew up in Iowa Park, Texas and attended school in the Iowa Park school district. Upon finishing his school career he joined the Army where he spent most of his time in Germany. After completing his Army commitment he moved out to San Jose, California where he remained until his death. One of his hobbies was playing guitar. This hobby is what originally lured him to the California area. His band would frequently open for big name bands. The band eventually dissolved which led to his carpenter work. He loved the challenge of building the huge homes that are commonly found out in the California area. He also enjoyed the weekend jobs of refurbishing small rooms. He was extremely talented in both music and carpentry. Later in years he became focused on artifact hunting, which also crossed over into rock hunting. He passed from a heart attack out doing what he truly enjoyed most, rock hunting and just being outdoors. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and also by his step-dad, Charley Blauvelt. Lee is survived by his parents, Sharon Kay Blauvelt of Wichita Falls and Eldon "Al" Alderson (Marina) of Iowa Park; sisters, Pamela Sheen of Wichita Falls, and Amy Jones and husband Jimmy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; niece and nephews, Jadin Lucero and husband Thomas, Brent Sheen and wife Laci, Nathan Sheen, Kyle Jones and Beth Jones. Great nephews Maddix, Axel and Noxley Lucero, Wyatt and Baylor Sheen along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. After the memorial there will be a reception to follow at the funeral home.

Red was one of the coolest life long friends I had. From grade school when I hit him in the head with a rock (Yikes), to our Senior year when we crash course studied together to be able to graduate.....I always knew he was there for me. I will never forget him. Much love to you all. RIP my friend. :(
