Sonia Louise McMillan, 65, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away, June 19, 2020, in Wichita Falls, Texas with family peacefully by her side.

Sonia was born to parents Charles and Klara McMillan, on August 7, 1954 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Sonia graduated from Hirschi High School and received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Wayland Baptist University.

She worked at Delphi starting in 1976 until 2006 where she then started a career with Edward Jones in October 2006 until she retired in March 2020.

Sonia is survived by her Mother Klara McMillan of Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter Amanda Myers and Son-in-Law Randle Myers of Iowa Park, Texas, brother Ralph McMillan and Wife Tena of Burleson, Texas and brother Charlie McMillan and wife Suzy of Azle, Texas. Also grandsons Knox, Colt, and Kase Myers of Iowa Park, Texas, Chance Clark of Iowa Park, Texas and close loved ones.

She was an Angel who was loving, cared deeply for her family, she had a feisty personality, and a laugh that was contagious. She loved her grandsons more than life. She truly adored them when they came to her house to play in the playroom she made for them in her home. Sonia would not give it one second thought when the boys asked her to play with them. She was down on the floor playing with blocks, cars or whatever else the boys wanted to play with. Sonia loved getting to talk to them on the phone and hear about what they had been doing. She was absolutely the rock of the family. Family always came first and she would put everyone ahead of herself no matter what to help them.

Sonia will always be remembered for her big heart and her willingness to do anything for her family and friends with no questions asked.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Dutton Funeral Home at 300 E. Cash St. in Iowa Park, TX 76367. There will be a graveside service to follow on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11 A.M. at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, TX.

Sonia... was such a beautiful soul inside and out. We worked together at Delphi and when that time ended we went our separate ways but we always stayed in touch. She met no strangers .. she had such a huge heart, if you were having a bad day she always had words to make it brighter. When she became a grandmother I think she must have been the happiest person on Earth, her three grandsons were truly the joy of her life, she said now my life is complete. I'm going to miss our weekly conversations... our texting back and forth with good morning greetings. I know one day I will see you again and we will pick up where we left off. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again... You will forever be in my heart... Amanda God bless you and the family🙏

Anyone who knew my mother knew she would do anything for anyone, including helping random strangers she felt God led her to. Growing up she always threw me the best birthday parties. She went above and beyond for everyone and always put others first. One of my fondest memories is of her and I riding sea doos even though she couldn’t swim and was terrified of water. She waited a long time to be a grandma and she LOVED her grandsons. I’m pretty sure they bumped me down on the totem pole when they were born! She loved to play with them every chance she got! There will always be a hole in my heart that no one or nothing will ever be able to fill. We miss her so much already. Until we meet again; I love you, Mom!

Sonia was my best friend! She would do anything for me, no matter how crazy it was, or any time of the day or night. She was ALWAYS there!! She was so smart, special, fun and just a wonderful person. I miss her. God wanted her now, not later, only he knows why. I watched as Amanda was born and grew up into a wonder wife and mother. Sonia couldn't have been any prouder of her. Her grandsons meant the world to her! She will always be remembered!

Sonia was one of the best, energetic, I loved her laugh, when ever I came to Texas to visit she went out of her way to see that I was made welcome and comfortable, she would put a basket of goodies in my room. She was an excellent hostess, she will be missed. 🙏prayers for her family

I have found memories of her. Sonia and I were colleagues at Edward Jones. Sonia was very compassionate. She knew that I lost a Son to Cancer and often gave donations to St. Jude in his memory. She has a very good heart. She was excited to a grandmother. My heart is shattered. I had no idea that she was sick. My deepest condolences.
