Of Jackson, passed away under the care of her family on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the age of 75. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (John) Owens and Shawna France-Ross; one grandson, Jonathon Owens; four great grandchildren, Joselyn, Anissa, Alexis and Arayia; sister, Judy Fisher; nephews, Gregory and Steven (Heather) Fisher as well as loving family members and friends. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Erma Apgar and a nephew, Brian Fisher. She was born in Jackson on February 15, 1944 and graduated from Jackson High School. She went on to receive two degrees from Jackson Community College and retired after many years of service from Jackson Community College. She was also the manager of Jackson Recreational Trailer Park. Carole was active in the community and touched the lives of many. She participated with the Big Brother/ Big Sister foundation and the Care program at J.C.C. A service to honor her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Hilling officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
