Of Jackson, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the age of 65. He will be remembered by his two daughters, Michelle Coolbaugh and Josey Adams; four grandchildren, Amauria, Nevayh King and Jacaden and Josiah Smith; parents, Dolores (John) Radford and Duane (Sharon) Coolbaugh; brothers, Terry (Colleen) Coolbaugh and Guy Coolbaugh; sisters, Debbra Odle and Cara (Bruce) McKeller; stepbrother, John (Athena) Radford; stepsisters, Lisa Crank and Sarah Obenour; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Doris Coolbaugh and Guy and Ruth Smith; sister, Shari Jean Coolbaugh; sister-in-law, Anita Coolbaugh; and stepbrother, Ray Crank. He was born in Jackson on April 26, 1953 and is a 1971 graduate of East Jackson. He retired from Libra Industries after over 30 years of service. Gary was an avid U of M and sports fan. He enjoyed small bus trips to the games, playing Euchre, and spending time with friends at the Grotto Club where he recently became a Life Member and was also on the board of trustees. Gary touched the lives and hearts of many and he will be greatly missed. A service honoring his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
