Shelia Dawn Pond

Of Jackson, passed away at the age of 64 on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home under the care of her family. She is survived by her husband Dennis Pond; son, Denny Pond; daughter, Aimee (Marvin) Potts; seven grandchildren, Kylie, Brett, Keandra, Devan, Tiffany, Javin and Brianna also two great grandchildren; mother, Patricia Straub, sister, Sheryl (Butch) VanVleet; sister-in-law, Anitta Straub as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Marlin Straub and three brothers, Randy, Rod and Larry Straub. Shelia was born in Jackson on November 27, 1954 and is a graduate of East Jackson. She retired from J.P.S. after over 20 years of service. She was active with Parkinson’s Support Group and Peddling for Parkinson’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards and was especially fond of outings with her grandchildren camping at Portage Lake. Her grandchildren were a large part of her life. She touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
