Eunice Rose Coats

Eunice Rose Culpepper Coats, 77, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson Mississippi on July 28 2018. She lived in Red Oak Texas for 47 years and moved a year ago to live in Raleigh Mississippi with her daughter Donna and son-in-law Danny. She was born on September 5, 1940 to Virgil and Lola Culpepper in Columbus, Mississippi. Eunice attended hair and beauty college in Dallas, Texas. She was a beautician until she retired in 2013.
She married John Suitt in 1960 and they had one daughter together, Kathy Lee Suitt. Eunice married Donald Wayne Coats in 1965 and he had a daughter Lisa Jean coats. They had two daughters together, Donna Sue Coats and Shirley Yvonne Coats.
Eunice enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She handmade all four daughters their clothes as children. She took delight in cooking, She made the best chocolate pie and pot roast ever! She enjoyed spending time in church with the Lord and her family and friends.
Eunice is survived by two daughters, Donna Dunn of Raleigh Mississippi and Shirley Coats in Granberry, Texas. Her niece, Crystal Cooper-smith who was a godsend during this time and many nieces and nephews; 13 Grandchildren with Missy Lynne Coats being the oldest; 15 great grandchildren with Bailey Morgan’s Sparr being the oldest; one great-great granddaughter, Bailynn Blackwell; one brother, Godfrey Culpepper of Dallas, Texas: one sister, Janice Cooper of Dallas, TX .
Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Coats; her two daughter, Kathy Lee Suit and Lisa Jean Sandel; her parents, Lola and Virgil Culpepper; her two brothers, Scott Culpepper and Gilbert Culpeppe;r one grandson, Joshua Dunn.
There was a balloon release held Sunday, July 29, 2018 celebrating her life at her home in Raleigh Mississippi. Eunice was dearly loved by everyone who knew her and will be forever missed by many.
