Lillian Janette Evans

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 31, 2013 from the High St. Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow the service in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Born in Auburn, MS Miss Evans taught school in Columbia before moving to Jackson. She retired from Peeples Jr. High School in Jackson. She taught for a total of 34 years. After retiring, she worked the information desk at the Baptist Hospital for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Jackson.

Survivors include her sister Clarice Knight of Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.
