Mary Frances Sanford, 85, died Saturday, December 15 at her home in Florence
Services were held Wednesday, December 19 from Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson followed by burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born in Garrison, Texas, to Jim and Virginia Youngblood, she moved to Jackson after her marriage to B. J. Sanford where she was primarily a mother and homemaker, but worked as a school crossing guard with the first female police officers for the JPD, then later as bus driver with JPS.
