Amanda Rose Balcewicz
May 23, 1979 – October 4, 2021
Amanda Rose Balcewicz, age 42, of Jackson, Tennessee, formerly of Michigan, passed away on October 4, 2021.
She was born in Garden City, MI, the daughter of Judith (Miller) Balcewicz and the late George Balcewicz Jr. She graduated from Livonia Churchill High School, Schoolcraft College with an Associates and Madonna University with a Bachelors of Science. Amanda worked in Customer Service most of her working career, working the last 15 yrs with Sams Club in Las Cruces, NM; Canton, MI; and Jackson, TN.
Amanda is survived by her twin, Barbra (Balcewicz) Claybaugh and nephew, Adam Joseph, “AJ” of Allen Park, MI; older sister, Jacqueline (Balcewicz) Sundol and brother-in-law, Chad Sundol of Mesa, AZ; her brother, George Balcewicz III and nephew, Jacob Balcewicz of Holly, MI; and her mother, Judith (Miller) Balcewicz.
Throughout her life, she identified with the mythical unicorn and those who knew her, knew they were in the presence of someone special. She was the definition of love as defined in the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians “… very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude…never demanding her own way, she did not hold grudges and…hardly even noticed when others do it wrong. She was never glad about injustice, but rejoiced whenever truth won out. She was loyal…no matter what the cost… She always believed in others, always expected the best.”
Amanda is with us even now as we remember her, the example she set for everyone she met, forever in our hearts.
