Doris was born Nov. 19, 1926 in Jacksonville, FL the daughter of the late Cordelia and Lawrence K Tucker. She was married to her late husband, John Paul Elixson until his passing in 2004, Her youngest son Lawrence D. Elixson passed in 2005. She was preceded in death by her sister Lovey Ramsaur and brother Lawrence K Tucker III. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine E. Glisson and son, John Paul Elixson, Jr and his wife Karen., 4 grandchilden, Lauren Kathleen Reese, John L Glisson, Jr., Leslie Elixson, John Paul Elixson III. 2 step grandchildren, Heather, Chris Douglas and Amanda Douglas. She had 12 great grandchildren.
Doris was a native of Jacksonville, FL and was a graduate of Ward Belmont,, a debutante and a member of the Jr. League.
She was a loving and devoted homemaker and will be remembered for all the wonderful contributions of kindness and faith. She will always live in our hearts, and is at peace with God.
There will be a graveside service held at Oaklawn Cemetery on San Jose Blvd. Friday, at 2:00 P.M. at the Massoleum.
