Glenna Bauzon was born to Allen and Mintie Green in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the youngest of nine children and the last surviving sibling.
When she was a young teenager she moved to Maryland to live with her older sister and when she was old enough, began her career in the restaurant business. She then dedicated her time raising children and managing the household while her husband served in the Navy.
After Ricky (her husband) retired from the service, the decided to get into the restaurant business owning two successful businesses, the Gourmet at the beach and later, Glenna’s in Arlington. Both of her restaurants had a large and loyal clientele, a testament to her and her husband’s hard work and dedication to quality and service.
She loved to play cards showing no mercy to her opponent when playing 21 or Rummy. She enjoyed fishing and especially loved to dance to 60s and 70s Pop music and listen to country. She also enjoyed the occasional Budweiser with a dash of salt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Ricky” Bauzon, daughter Debra Varnadoe and grandsons, Ty and Christian Varnadoe. She is survived by her daughter Carol Walls (Forrest), two sons Rickey Walls (Shari) and Robert Bauzon and son-in-law Kevin Varnadoe (Debbie). She has three grandsons, Gabriel, Rocky and Rob; two granddaughters Abby and Theresa; four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
